Revolution In Just Listening Habitat For Humanity Benefit Show

Revolution In Just Listening Sandy Benefit Show (85)

So I had the pleasure of attending the Revolution In Just Listening Habitat For Humanity Benefit show held at McDonagh’s Pub in Keyport. This event was created by to raise funds to help rebuild some of the shore towns directly effected by hurricane Sandy, (Keyport, Union Beach, Keansburg, Port Monmouth, Highlands, Atlantic Highlands). The band Elevator Art has been such a positive force in lending a hand with the clean up from hurricane Sandy led by guitarist Elizabeth Dayback who is from Union Beach. This night was about seeing everyone not just from the towns mentioned but decent good hearted people in general who wanted to be part of something special. Not everyone has the means to give back financialy, physically or emotionally but I believe all of us have the capacity to give back in at least one or more of these ways. Being supportive and understanding of what has happened is where it begins for someone like myself who wasn’t directly hit but I can tell you that every single one of us has or will be hurt in some way going forward. The show went on like a well oiled machine, I was there from the time the show started but I know there were so many people there hours before getting everything set up and ready to go. There was an awesome heated tent set up in the parking lot to accomadate more people as well as bands that were performing. The list of bands that performed were an amazing selection of area jam bands : Moon Motel, Free Beer, Julian Fulton, Thanks, Accidental Seabirds, James Arlowe and the Ruffian Circus, Mad Feather Group, Love Assassin, The Shady Street Show Band, Elevator Art, Almost There. There was also tables set up with people selling artwork, food and raffles to raise money. I myself enjoy capturing those moments that people will be able to share as memories for ever. All the pictures from the event can be seen in my photo galleries at
